Rick Leach dressed in a tuxedo and having a conversation during Community Living's Legacy Ball

If you’ve attended Community Living’s Legacy Ball in the past, you can thank Rick Leach for the entertaining evening. Prior to Rick joining the Board of Directors in 2000, the organization had no special events and no formal fundraising efforts. Rick changed that by suggesting the idea that would become the annual Legacy Ball. Year after year, the event has grown bigger and better. Now in its 22nd year, this annual fundraising dinner now features both a silent and live auction, dinner with suggested wine pairings, and live entertainment. It’s Community Living’s signature event.

Rick was recognized with the Legacy Award in 2018 for his outstanding contributions to people with disabilities and to the community as a whole. In addition to Rick’s consistent donations to Community Living, he’s demonstrated his commitment to a number of nonprofits that aid youth, families, and the elderly in the St. Charles area. He and his wife Mary have also been recognized for their extensive service to Youth in Need.

Although Mr. Leach no longer sits on the Board of Directors, he’s still a devoted supporter of Community Living. Rick and his family are currently serving on the 2022 Legacy Ball Host Committee and he and his wife recently became Community Living’s Annual Partners at the $5,000 Prominent level.

We are so thankful Rick Leach had the vision for our signature fundraising event, and can’t wait to celebrate with you this year at the 22nd Annual Legacy Ball on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the St. Charles Convention Center. Tickets are now available at bidpal.net/legacyball2022
